E-Brake Needs Adjustment.
This has been bothering me for sometime now and has finally driven me up the wall to get this fixed...
Ever since I bought my camaro, the E-Brake took pulling all the way up until it was in the vertical position until it catched, and at that, barely. Now, it wont catch it all; not even pressing the rear brakes now...
So, figure I gotta tighten up the cable under the car.
Can someone kinda tell me how/where to do that on these Third gens?
Thanks in advanced guys

Models With Rear Drum Brakes
1. Depress the parking brake lever exactly two ratchet clicks.
2. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support safely with jackstands.
3. Tighten the brake cable adjusting nut (seen in the pic below) until the left rear wheel can be turned rearward with both hands, but locks when forward rotation is attempted.
4. Release the parking brake lever, both rear wheels must turn freely in either direction without brake drag.
5. Lower the vehicle.

Re: E-Brake Needs Adjustment.
Before performing the adjustment as recommended by James C, be sure to verify proper adjustment of the rear brakes. It is common that the drum brakes are incorrectly assembled so that the auto adjusters don't function. This leads to excessive free play in the shoes and will cause the rear brakes as well as the e-brake not to function. The shoes should barely drag on the drums with no pedal pressure. After adjusting shoes, depress pedal to center shoes and recheck.

Re: E-Brake Needs Adjustment.
I ended up having a shop do it, where they could put the car on a lift which drops the driveshaft when the car weight isn't on the ground. Either take the driveshft down or jack the rear of the car up off the suspension
