confused about ebrake.. i need help plz

ok so im still a little confused about when switching from a drum to disk rear the appropriate ebrake or parking brake cable to use. i have an 89 firebird 2.8 with drums right now and i have a posi rear end with discs that i pulled off a what i believe was a 90 bird. i read in the sticky above that up to 88's that the cable was different from the 89's and above. what i want to know is if i buy two rear ebrake cables for left and right disc from my autoparts store (oreilly)would those cables be the same to the 90' one or should i search for a year 90' ebrake cables and not the 89's?? thanks

Does the disc rear end have iron calipers or alum?

Ok, if you have a rear with iron Delco-Moraine calipers, they're from an 82-88 car. Your 89 should have the tunnel-mounted adjuster (take a peek). If so, purchase cables for say, an 88, and you should be good to go.

An 89 should have the tunnel adjustment. The cables from 89-92 cars aren't interchangeable with earlier years.
