Who can mod hubs for an LS brake swap?!
Cause I've been having a very hard time finding any place that can do it! I didn't think it'd be this much of an issue....

I had my C5 hubs machined down by a guy who runs a 4X4 shop out of his own garage. He said anyone with a brake lathe could do it if they knew what they were doing. Cost me 2 hrs labor, but worth it to me.

That's exactly what I'm thinking, but everyone's a idiot in Chicago.

i just found myself a machine shop locally, doesn't have to be someone car-related. i dug through the yellow pages and called about a dozen places before i found someone, but they're done now. came out a little on the high side ($90), but they're done and finally on the car

I did it myself on a brake lathe in about two hours.
Cut the hats off with a cut-off wheel, then find someone to turn them down for you.

also you need the studs pressed in before you have them machined down or they may crack afterwards, so i'd have the same machine shop do that as well

How would they crack? Maybe if you cut them WAYYY to close to the holes, but otherwise mine are 5.77" exactly the same diameter as the stock LS hubs. I've never heard of someone cracking a hub just by installing new studs. What makes you say they could crack?

Came out awesome! Mic'd at 5.77" which is exactly what the LS1 hub measures. Here's what they looked like when I got home with them tonight:

Here's after I cleaned them up:

And here's after paint:
