Fitting sizes
Hey guys, I need the fitting sizes for an 82 camaro rear drum proportioning valve. I know they are different because I've tried multiple years and they refuse to bolt up. If anyone has these please share trying to find something similair to my size

Re: Fitting sizes
post a pic of what you got.
should be metric line, unless someone changed it over.
I change mine over to use standard thread. Are adapters though to mix n match.

Re: Fitting sizes

Here is what I got.. Put a wrench on it and hose at master cylinder is 14.. Hose closest to booster on valve is 3/8, bottom hose is 3/8, and front is 9/16. Two top ones on valve are 7/16. So what threads am I looking at? I'm looking at a valve on summit for a 4 disk brake car for $50
http://m.summitracing.com/parts/rsd-pv72 would this work?

The earlier cast iron valves, whose threads are SAE and whose lines attach differently, look nothing like the later alum metric valves. Check the pics in posts #1 and #2 in the following link for a comparison.

Okay... So not as universal for 82 I suppose? What is the best choice in finding a 4 wheel disk valve for 82. I don't mind using fittings (if they exist) I just need my brakes to work properly lol
Re: Fitting sizes
I saw another one about bubble flare metric to standard adapters, but I can't find it right now. Even had part numbers.
May want to read that whole thread through or post in it. I know it's long but there is more in there about your cast valve I'm sure.

Re: Fitting sizes
Just hit ebay for a brass hotrod pro valve, they come in disc/drum or disc/disc
What I used, only needed adapters for the little lines from MC to prop, didn't want to have to re-do the end of those lines, got em at napa.
