Early Style Rear Caliper Rebuild with Recall Kit

I need to rebuild the rear calipers on my 85 T/A. I ordered one of the few remaining recall/repair kits from GM to repair the well-known E-brake adjustment problem. The kit (P/N 18019028) arrived today and I believe it's missing a few parts. Here's what it did come with:
-Two new pistons
-Two new springs
-Two new pad to piston clips
-ONE new piston seal
I am sure I am missing at least one piston seal, but is there anything else that I am missing?

The second part of my question is; if I purchase a standard caliper rebuild kit now, will it have the rest of the parts that I am missing? I've never done a caliper rebuild before so I am not 100% of everything I need.

Here's a photo of everything that came in my recall kit:

Seals to worm screw would be useful and seal between parking brake lever and caliper and piston seal.Coni seal #ck108243 has the seals you need(rockauto)

Thanks man. I've actually already gone ahead and ordered a Dorman rebuild kit, but I figure it should have most (if not all) of what I am missing.

I just received my recall kit and it had a complete rebuild kit! I didn't know it came with everything to rebuild it completely! Plus the guy at Elway Chevy in Englewood, Co(where Car Craft mag gets their GM tech info.) says there are plenty left. I paid $42.00. The box looks like a collectible....

So does this actually make the handbrake to work properly ?

I believe a special tool is needed to pull out the piston right ?

I done this recall kit to my 85 T/A. Yes it works well. On taking the pistons out, you just ratchet/rotate the brake arm on the caliper while in a vise. then watch the piston FLY across the garage at 80MPH!!! Then re-install in a vise or use those fancy visegrips shaped like a horse shoe.

Re: Early Style Rear Caliper Rebuild with Recall Kit

Anyone know how to install those silver rings that are on the right of my picture? they are pad dampers?

Bob is correct, just rotate the parking brake lever. I had a stubborn piston so i unbolted the park brake lever then took a 10" piece of 1"x2" wood and set it where the outboard caliper goes, tap on the threaded end lightly to create room to get air into the chamber, and shot a little air into the rear of the caliper. Now, with that being said, DO NOT have your fingers near the pistons face. unless you have too many fingers...

They clip onto the piston to sorta hold the pad in place. Another note.....When you install the pistons in the caliper, be sure it is rotated in the right orientation to accept the little tab on the brake pad! Very important! Been there, done that!

Didn't This Recall Only Pertain To Manual Transmission Cars,I Think I Still Have The Original Recall Letter From GM If I Can Find It To Check.
