Proper direction for front brake wear indicators

Hi, What is the correct direction for the front brake pad wear indicators (squealers) to be facing on our cars with stock brakes? I have a 90 Camaro rs. I am thinking I may have Installed them wrong as the wear indicators are on the left side when you are facing the brake assembly with them installed and I believe they should be facing right (downwards toward the ground) can anyone here clear this up for me? I don’t have a factory manual for this car.

Re: Proper direction for front brake wear indicators

Squealer tabs go to the LEADING edge side in the normal direction of rotation.
