ebrake correct?

My ebrake moves freely with no resistance. Everything under the car is correct regarding ebrake cables and their hook-up. I took apart the center console and this is a clip of the brake activation (it is not bolted down but makes no difference for this demo). Can someone share a video or pictures of theirs so I can compare? The cable doesn't appear to be routed properly (on that "sloted wheel") as it never applies tension to the cable when activating the hanlde. (FYI, the white areas you see are just a silicone spray as it was a horrible sight initially!). Thank you!

Re: ebrake correct?

I looked at my '89 since I have the console out, but mine looks totally different and does not have the wheel. My cable attaches directly to the handle.

Doing a bit of searching it appears the 90+ cars have a different setup. Here is a link to an ebay auction with some photos that might help.

Re: ebrake correct?

Look at the hole were the cable attaches.
Appears to me something is wrong with positioning of your "Wheel"

Re: ebrake correct?

Perfect...exactly what I wanted to see. Thank you @BigBlock73 & @ratfink6923. My wheel does appear to be out of position by a good 180 deg. Hopefully I can simply rotate it & lock it in the correct poisition.
