89 Iroc 350 5-speed new paint in MD $4000 !!!SOLD!!!
Hey guys,
I advertised my iroc about a week ago for 5000 or best offer. I've dropped the price to 4000 firm. I didnt want to start a new thread, and waste server space with posting the same pictures again, so I'll link you to the first thread.

I found another car, and need to sell this thing quick!
Thanks for looking

what is the oil pressure at? are you using stock or aftermarket gauges?
Do you hear the car knocking at all or clanging when running,
also does it leak oil or coolant?

The oil pressure once its warm is only a few pounds at idle (around 6) and comes up with rpm.
There is no knocking in the engine. A little bit of lifter tap from the front two lifters. Probably because they arent getting enough pressure to pump up fully. I think its just an issue of the tolerances being too great, not because anything mechanically was wrong with the engine. When I changed the oil it has no metal in it. The engine has probably only been run for 50 miles.

This will probably get good.......
What kinda car are you looking into to replace it?
Good luck, Pics of your car gives me ideas what mine will look like when completed.

Re: 89 Iroc 350 5-speed new paint in MD $4000
I'm going back to school, so I need something that will be reliable, do somewhat well in the snow, and decent gas mileage. Right now the dealership is supposed to be trading in a grand prix gtp, so I'm trying to sell this car in time to get that.
If you're working on a car, you'd probably save yourself money to just buy mine . By the time you pay for a good (non-maaco) paint job, you probably really would save cash.

I'm sure It would probably be cheaper to buy yours. That takes all of the fun out of it though. 350TPI 5spd is what I'm going for as well. If I didn't already have a project going I'd probably be offering to trade you a Civic I have that will probably out do that GTP in Gas milege and power and compared to my friends GTP be much more reliable. Oh well.

Haha, it would have to be a pretty worked over civic to make over 240 horsepower (stock gtp) and 280ft lbs of torque. I'm also not a civic guy. What year is it, anyway?
But really, there's still more to do to the car. The interior needs some work, it could use some suspension upgrades, and you can always squeeze more power out of the engine with different parts.

Re: 89 Iroc 350 5-speed new paint in MD $4000
I've got a 93 Civic Si hatch with a 97 Acura GSR engine Swap. Full Acura Integra sway bars with Tokio Hp Struts. With a little lower profile tire than I have now(Winter Tires) it becomes a handling fool. I believe that engine puts down 195 to the wheels. But, You gotta remember that car weighs a ton less than a GTP and I can still get 35 MPG on 93 OTC. You'll never get that in a GTP. Plus with the added weight of the new engine It did better in the snow this year than it has in years past. It has the potential for more Hp with a set of dialed in Camgears and an better Skunk 2 intake manafold.
I also have a 93 Civic Ex Coupe with a 95 GSR swap in it with full Integra Type R suspension. This however has the above intake manafold and cam gears. Hasn't been tuned yet. Oh ya. Its turbo Charged also. I estimate that its putting down around 290-300 WHP at 6 PSI boost around 6500 RPM. Just an estimate based upon a friends car that was similarly setup with a larger turbo. He ended up after tuning 330 to the wheels at 7psi with more room to spare. I think my Turbo Civic gets better Fuel Milege than my hatch though. Its all kitted out but is in need of a repainting. Badddd Sun Damage. Don't think I'd sell it though.
I love an engine that can screem to 8500 RMP plus and not flinch.

Sounds cool, but I think I need something unmodified and newer, as opposed to faster and older. I need to force myself out of that mindset I have been in.

Re: 89 Iroc 350 5-speed new paint in MD $4000
car looks good, but it's a big chance for 4k. you say you have tuning software and a chip burner. did you tune the car? how do you know who ever tuned it didn't screw up and the low oil pressure is the result. How is the car a 5 speed? did you drop in a t-5 or was it already a t-5 and you dropped the motor in? can the tranny even hold up behind that motor? a stock world class t-5 wouldn't last long with over 300hp and especially 425tq. is the tranny built? if so by who? do all the gauges work? hows the rear end? why are the windows slow does the car have low voltage? original fuel pump? what size injectors? For 4k i would expect a perfect car with no issues. a possibly blown motor is a big issue. fix the low oil pressure issue and all the other stuff and i'll get you 4 grand.
