your car stereo? Or are you wanting it for home? Either way, you go to Radio Shack and get a wire that converts from a stereo mini plug to stereo RCA's. Thats it! This is assuming you don't have rca's on it.

yup, go to radioshack and pick up part # 42-2551.. it retails for $6.99... then connect the 1/8" plug to the LINE OUT of your sound card and color-match the two rca plugs to the inputs of your stereo (red to red, white to white)... and thats it! if you dont have a LINE OUT on your sound card (
) then plug it in to the HEADPHONE or SPEAKER output.. but the preferred output would be the LINE OUT

I did the same thing, i have a sound blaster live! 5.1, and i plugged it into the 2nd speaker(its black on the sound card, for like surround sound), and ran that to a 2 rca cord like pictured above, ran that to a pioneer amplifier(one that is used in the house), and hooked up my 2 12' Earthquake HP's that i used to have, and it slammed...

well you have two choices really.. hook up the cable and see how it sounds; most likely, it will sound fine and thats all you need to do. the reason for using a line out rather than the headphone is a lower voltage, so if you get a lot of noise or distortion, then you can buy an attenuating audio cable (also available at radioshack), plug it in to your headphone jack, and then plug the adapter into the other end of the attenuating cable.. and thats it! but most likely the headphone jack will sound fine, so thats all you'll have to do
