I've found JVC to have above average features for the money, below average sound quality, and far below average reliability and build quality. Their Digifine systems seem to be a huge exception. I've got nothing but good things to say about their digifine decks, but the rest fail to impress me.

I've had two Digifine amps for years and never had a problem (or complaint) with them. As for HU's, I've never even seen one in person.

That one is fugly. Also you've got to get that stock "soda straw" intake off your TPI, especially with those SLP runners.

I had a jvc I had a kd-sx950 I think, and it was pretty good I thought it sounded nice until I just got my new cda-7873 alpine :hail: for 75$ new in the box!!! And it sounds way way better. My last alpine was the same way. Alpine rules.

Get a new digifine deck if you do go with JVC .. I got the KD-SH707 off ebay for $235 ... awesome deck, no complaints ... 20 rms x4 and 3 preamp outs ... even plays mp3's on a cd-RW!!! Very nice aluminum face too

I have an older JVC Kameleon Head unit. It is pushing 8 speakers. And on some songs it shakes the mirrors.

The same complaint Jim85 has about build quality. The buttons tend to stick and wear out faster than most other decks.
