Piece of S***!!!!

Anyone ever purchase the Aiwa CDC-X227 head unit? I bought mine a few weeks ago and what a piece. . .of crap. The thing jams when taking my CD's in and leaves a deep gouge in them! I'm taking it back. Save your money and don't buy one of these!

I have an aiwa cdc-mp3 and I have not had a single problem with it. That sucks. When you take it back what are you going to get?

My friend had that same head unit in his Jeep and it gouged his CDs too. The thing that does it is the bumps, they put something inside a little too close to the spinning CD and when you hit a bump the cd hits it. He took that deck back and got a Kenwood that played MP3s. Aiwa sucks big time.

The new Sony stuff is pure crap, and considering that Aiwa is the low-end Sony brand, I can't say that I'm surprised. The last few Aiwa decks that I had used were cheaply made junk, around the same quality as the Jensen crap.
