anyone know how much alpines can take?

I hooked up 2 type r 10's to a JBL 1200.1 @ 1ohm for about 10 minutes at a car show yesterday in town. They freagin POUND! I am going to have to get one of those amps.

I use one 12", and it blew on 380 watts to one channel. It was because only powered one channel is what everyone is telling me though. I'm in the process of getting a Audiobahn H1300HCQ or a JBL 1200.1 and a new box. I think they can handle alot though.

12" type-r max 1000 watts recomended rms wattage is 300. i got that from alpines site awhile back when i was reasearching subs. i have mine getting around 400-500 rms and it pounds
