Hmm. I should get mine inside instead of under a blue tarp where it's going to get ruined.
Considering how rare it is, I'm surprised the auction isn't higher. Those are the stock enclosures from a GTA.
As for making them... I'm sure it's possible, but it sure wouldn't be cost-effective.

I'm assuming those are sail panel enclosures? They look easy enough to reproduce. The motivating factor would be how much people were willing to pay for them, and how many people would want them. It wouldn't be worth the time to develop a mold just to sell 1 or 2 sets. I'd be interested to see how many people would buy these and how much they're willing to spend. Materials alone would be around $40-$50

I'll be making a set this winter for my car, if anybody is interested let me know what your price range is, etc and I'll maybe just make a mold for em.

But I'd be interested for sure. I wouldn't be using two speakers per side, so a custom deal might be a good addition. Then again....

why would you want more midbass from behind? it would end up pulling your ears away from the front, where the audio is supposed to come from. now a small sub enclosure back there, decent idea. but just stick some 6 1/2"s back there if anything at all.....

Ok i've got these things in front of me, first off, the 4x6 is not enclosed, its just free air the plate is big enuff to fit it, the box is 6" front to back if they were installed and a total of 14" deep, box only not counting the 4x6 area, starting at the top it goes 5.25" down then angles back and the bottom is tapered off starting about 3" from the bottom so the bottom isnt flat but angled, the port hole is 1.5" in diameter.

That's about all though. That should cover your materials cost, electricity use, and about 15 worth of labor. You'd probably make these in about 2-3 hours so you'd be payed slightly higher than minimum wage for them. Maybe in that case I'd give you 40.

why not just run a good set of 6x9 speakers instead of those things??? Plenty of room in there.
same thingfor the dash, but you need a dremil.
i got 6x9s in the dash and rear side pannels.

I took the fiber version of that and made it solid. I took resin and fiberglass to fill the holes and just coated the whole thing. The bigest bitch was getting the lip to seal AND fit properly in the opening. In the end I gave up.
you could modify those to hold a single (1 per side) 6.75" true subwoofer made by rockford fosgate for people who dont want a big subwoofer setup and amp rack, but are still looking for some decent low end.. supposedly those subs sound alright, although i havnt heard them before, and to be honest im quite skeptical.. anyone have any first-hand experience with them?
