Got some new 6x9's
I got some boston acoustic 6x9's for my birthday...they were origionally $129.99, but I got them for $100. He gave me a $20 discount, and then I asked him for a birthday discount and he asked how old and I said 18 so I got another $10 off
. I was going to get Alpine Type-S (the blue ones) but they didnt sell them, all they sold were the Type-R and I didnt have $200 for those. They sound great, and the guy said they worked better than the Alpines when run of the headunit (like I have them) What do you think of Boston Acoustic? Did I get a good deal?

The only problem I had was that they were to deep, but all I had to do was push on the back of it and it like ripped or something and moved backwards and then they fit so its all good
. Here are the specs....
Recommended Amplifier Power - 12-120 watts
Nominal Impedance - 4-ohm
Frequency Response (3dB in car) - 40-20,000Hz
Mounting Cutout Diameter - 8 11/16
Mounting Depth - 3" (76mm)
Sensitivity (1 watt (2.83v) at 1m) - 92dB
System Type - 2-way
Tell me what you think.

Those are pretty sweet speakers. You have no idea how good they will sound when you give them more power. When you get the JBL you should run them off of your sony. I love powered 6X9s!

Im planning on a JBL 80P.4 to amp the 6x9's and prolly a component set if I ever get around to getting them. It looks just like the 1200.1 but smaller (dur). I will hopefully add a set of kick panels or amp an aftermarket set of 4x6's as well. All in time though...first things first...as soon as summer rolls around all money is devoted to new SS hood, Z28 highrise spoiler, and painting the bumper/front end. And then back to the stereo stuff

Sweet. One thing I would change about that though is the 4X6s. If you have the JBL 80.2 to the 6X9s and components up front that are powered you will not even be able to hear the 4X6s enough to justify spending money on them. Man that car is going to sound and look awesome when you are done.

Burnouts4ever: What is Clipping your subs?
89blackGTA: I hope my car looks as bad as I want it to when I am done...after I get the hood and spoiler I hopefully can find at least a 305 and possibly a 6-speed, but I will keep my 5-speed if need be
Mdformula350: You don't ever say much do you...thanx for the compliments though!
