stealth box question

i am gonna buy one of the stealth box for my trans am when rezn8r gets it done. my question is where can i put the amp so that is can be seen. the whole reason that i want the stealth box is so that no one can see the sound system i want it to look stock but sound awesome, the only place i could think of it the spare tire compartment, does anyone have any pics of this, and if the amp is in the spare tire compartment the it will be a pain in the *** to adjust the amp. i have never had an amp before but dont you have to adjust them for bass and stuff or do you just adjust it once and thats it.

if your stealth box sits a little off of the floor in the ditch you might be able to throw your amp under the box, but amps need room to breathe and cool down and keep cool...another thing is always keep your amp facing up, never on its side or upside-down therefore i dont think u will be able to put it in the spare compartment...what kinda amp is it will maybe give me a better idea and how many subs and what size are u going to be using...now for the amp settings u just mess around with like 2 or 3 *****, maybe even 1 and get it to sound how u would like and just let it do its thing, u dont need to keep adjusting it, only if u want to see how it will sound different but mainly find a setting u like and keep it...hope that helps

You could install a false bottom in your hatch pretty easily. Just carpet a piece of 1/4" thick hardboard or something and make sure you have some big holes in the wood hidden by the carpet so the amp can get air. If your hatch has a tendency to flood though obviously that wouldn't work. The spare tire compartment wouldn't be too bad. The panel over there is easily removable for adjustments. Like you mentioned though you usually don't have to adjust it that often. Especially if you have a remote bass volume like the ones offered by Kicker, Phoenix Gold, and some others.

I dont mess with the amp after it is installed. but you could take out the box, in the rear glove box, and put it behind that, Thank you can open the door and get to it, and there is plenty of room the breath.

if your trunk has leaking problems...DO NOT PUT AMP ON THE TRUNK FLOOR!!! when my car first started to leak when the amp was back there the situation is best described as snap, krackle, and pop. not a good way to say good bye to an expensive AMP. i miss my kicker box!
