I first saw it in HamSpiced's car. Then found out he copied it from KJ. Rockz. I loved it and started building it last week. IT fits perfect in the back of my fourthgen. My car is black, so the black carpet with the tinted chevy bowtie just rocks, thanks for the ideas guys.

But just no daytime pics of it.
Not to rip on anybody's boxes, but how come you made two boxes, one for the amp, and another for the subs, why not make it all in one (at least look like one box from the outside, but still have proper divitions on the inside for the 2 boxes). It would look alot cleaner. and more planed out, than having a box for subs than deciding to make another box for the amp. Here is what something like my idea would look like (see pic), and I would make it, but Than I would have no spot for my t-tops.

I saw a 91 RS with that setup at a stereo shop in Hawaii when I
was 14, don't think this is an original Idea! There have been tons of guys who have used the bowtie emblem for thier amp rack! Tha set I saw had 3 JL audio W6 and 3 PPI art series amps in a black lowered with nice rims RS.
14 years for me = 7 years ago!

i like the looks of that setup i mean beside the fact the Kj already did it but the look of that box is nice. the fat foam around the cone allows for a bigger x-max correct? or is it just for looks?

All you guys running Volfenhag's....how do you like them? How did you break them in? Did you have any of the talked about problems, like coil seperation?
They look like a product that has been put together well for a VERY reasonable price, but they seem to be getting some bad press.
Thanks for any input.

yeah...yeah....
You can't really take other peoples word for how hard their subs pound though. Unless of course they have SPL#'s.
Totally rocking and pounding out to one person may be not even enough bass for another. KJ says they pound like a mother, but seriously for that cheap a price they can't be that great. I bet they are well worth the money though!
There is a reason why they are cheap and there is a reason why they do not have a reputation. JL Audio...Kicker....MTX.....Rockford...are all expensive and they all rock hard, they are really popular for that reason and have the longevity which is worth the extra bucks you spend.
Iam not saying not to buy them but don't expect to make your ears bleed.
If you want loud and cheap.....By far the loudest subs for the money are American Pro 12's off Ebay. They will hit the low-mid 140's in SPL no problem, and you can get a pair for like 100 bucks.

i honestly believe infinity's are the best subs one can get for the money, however they are much cheaper then the higher strung well known name brand subs... ill tell you this right now, i had a pair of MTX RT 8000 and compared to infinity refferences (the cheapest form of infinities) the MTX'S Sucked and i paid 2 time sless for the infinities.
of course i have not had my spl rated but, one can easily tell Clarity levels and my refferences are much clearer then my MTX's the sound is a difference between night and day.

Well...
Don't agree with my theory. I don't mind....but I have a lot of experience with car audio ( used to be an installer) and I never said that Infinity's weren't good. They are, but the one's you've got are the bottom of the line. ( doesn't mean they won't sound good)
The reason why the MTX sounded bad was because of that crappy Legacy amp you had running to them. You hooked up more efficient speakers that need less power...and you got a clearer sound. You cant run power hungry speakers off of low wattage amps, or you're gonna get distortion, plan and simple. I don't care how much that legacy amp is SUPPOSED to put out but #1 it doesn't put out that much and #2 the THD at high listening levels will be crap.
I am using a pair of 105 dollar ( for both ) speakers in my 84' right now off of 2 PPI 75x2 amps. They are made by Visonik, it rocks.(for the 105 bucks spent)
BUT, it's nothing compared to my system in my 91, where I used Kicker and Rockford subs. I probably hit mid 140 db SPL's in that car ( so say 3 reputable stereo shops) And that's something that MOST cheap speakers and amps will NOT give you.
If cheap speakers were as good or nearly as good as "high end" speakers...everyone would buy them instead. But they don't...because for the most part...they aren't better. Remember, there is a reason why they are cheap, and it's not because they are made more efficiently.
nuff said.

heh, im sorry.......
before i decided i needed money extremly bad i had a rockford fosgate 451s and that powered my MTX's, i had to sell it for personal reasons and a friend bought me the legacy amp. i too am an installer and reguardless what you may say/think a brands reputation of personal appeal means jack ****. i think legacy is probably the best brand around for the price they offer. granted they sell **** compared name brand stuff but my little legacy amp pushes the tunes out better then my name brand RF. dont get pulle dinto the hype or you will find yourself spending way too much money on something inadequate.

Whatever....
Go ahead and think that Legacy is decent...it'll break shortly so don't worry about it. I don't care if you want to call it personal preference, but actually it's called experience, not preference. I've built more boxes than you could dream of and have installed more subs than you can sneeze at. YOU are an installer? That would mean that you get discounts from wherever you work, why are you running that stuff? Why does your installation look the way it does? Mine in my 84' is simple, but I don't brag about it.
And don't compare everything to Rockford like everyone else, Rockford is not what it used to be.
You can't be hiiting anything above MAYBE 134 db with your setup, which is loud but it's not uncommon. Anyone who knows their stuff will agree with me on that, maybe even say that that is even a high #.

As far as the Volfenhag I had a friend that had them in an RS. The subs actually sounded ok and put out quite a bit of noise for the price, but their amps seem to overheat pretty easy. He had to put a little fan in the back blowing on it so that it wouldnt overheat if he wanted to turn it way up to show it off.

look man, i never tried to start a flame war with you, and thats what your doing. Yes i am an installer, yes things are more important then my car (college, rent, etc.) if you would of paid attention i had to sell my old amp because of low funds, i got the legacy for free. call it what you want but you cant argue with the price. either way stop flaming i dont disgrace your system dont disgrace mine.

I never disgraced your system.
I am not saying anything about your system being a disgrace, I am not trying to flame you. Even if you wanted to disgrace my system you couldn't no matter how hard you tried.
Don't talk your system/installation skills/personal preference up and I won't say anything.
You tried to tell me that my opinion doesn't mean anything, well I am telling you that I have more experience than you think and that my opinion does have whole lot of validity regardless of what you think. Go ahead and tell me that my experiences are worthless and that my opinion is not worth anything.....If you have the system to back up your mouth. You don't.
READ what you quoted me on again. If you do not agree that the big names in car audio are big because of thier quality and popularity than you are crazy. The reason why they are popular is not because they are expensive, they are more popular than the cheap brands because they sound better/hit harder/have a longer life. You are always gonna have a defect here and there... but the good brands are expensive because of the engineering.
