To amp or not to amp?
Currently I'm running a 4 channel sony for my 2 front 4x6 Boston Accoustics and rear 6x9 Kenwoods. I now also have 2 JL 10-W0 subs and was wondering if I should just power them off of the existing rear speaker connections giving them 45 watts a piece. I Semi wired it in and the subs shake the car already with just the power off of the HU. Should I get a 2 channel 250 watt amp or no?

You will never regret getting the amp, but if you don't get the amp you will always wonder. Plus no system really sounds great without an amp. They may sound good, but not great. You can always turn the subs off for that regular sound once you got the amp, but you won't.

I agree, get the extra amp.
Only downside is running the new wires. You might want to reconsider your power setup for the single amp; maybe you want to get a single, thicker power wire from the battery, going into a fused distribution block by the amps, and then splitting into two power wires, one for each amp.

get the amp. Running your subs off your 4ch while its already got your rears on it is not good.....not to mention that you prolly dont have a crossover going to the subs which means your throwing raw audio to the subs instead of filtering out the higher frequences.

Why can't you? Heck, buy an external crossover that takes one set of inputs and decodes it into three sets of outputs... do they still make those anymore?? Maybe you can find one on eBay.
Or just get some RCA y-adapters; one channel into two channels. Or make sure that if you get a subwoofer amp, it has a "passthrough"- one set of RCA inputs and a set of full-range RCA outputs- you can find this on higher-end amps. First you feed your RCA wire into the sub amp, and then the sub amp drives the normal amp.

I have the splitters already for the front speakers and the other splitter for the rear speakers. How do I go about splitting that again for the sub?

running subs off the deck is like putting slicks on a kia.

This is like what you'd need. Takes one set of RCA's and creates three outputs: http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...o&i=575RFQ1201
Then again, might be cheaper to just buy a new head unit with 2 preamp out's, and use a sub amp with a pass thru.
