rattle in trunk

Haven't posted in a lil while but this rattle is just getting to be too much for me now that I have upgraded amps. I haven;t read anybody else on here having this rattle, so maybe it is just me, but I am sure you guys could help. It seems to be the gastank skidplate or w/e, it is the cover that goes over the gastank, their seems to be a crack in it and I was wondering what you all would suggest to fix it. I have a few ideas, but wanted to know if their was an easy fix before I tried these. I have tried putting cardboard between them, but it rattles out, so that won't work. My new thought it maybe coating the plate with brown bread or dynomat (but both are very expensive) . One of my friends suggested that foam spray they use to fill things in with, and spraying it between the plate and the tank. So if any of you guys have had this problem and know how to fix it b4 I spend 100$ on dynomat please let me know! Thanks all

I usually use an adhesive backed foam to stop rattles. But it sounds like what you're taking about is under the car. If so, there isn't a whole lot you can do short of replacing the damaged part. And if it involves the gas tank, I wouldn't take any chances.

Be sure to check your license plate cover....Or just jack your car up....turn on the music and watch for the rattle under it

rattle

it's probobly your exaust bunping into the bottum of the car, i know alot of people that have that problem, and both my 3rd gen firebirds do it, i havn't found any solutions to this problem yet, becuase anything i think of putting there either doesn't help or burns up. if anyone has an idea how to fix this, im sure it would salve quite a few peoples problems.

tac weald a small spring (cut trampoline spring to fit) in between exhaust and underbody, you may want to strech it out first to giv more travel

I just had new brackets placed on the tail pipe exiting the flowmaster, yesterday. My exhaust was seting too low and RATTLING on the frame. we were able to see and here this once the car was in the air running with the sound system on. Most exhaust shops will look at your car for free.
