anyone heard of icon monitors? good or bad?

their headunits look to have a nice display and have reverse imaging for cameras which could come in handy if you were backing up or using it in a tow vehicle.

 

the icons are ok,they are a mid-grade monitor.there is better,there is worse out there

 

they seem pretty decent to me, what's better?

 

alpine,sony,clarion,kenwood,pioneer

 

why? you just named off 5 top name or known brands.....does that make them better?

 

Icon is the best monitor there is for incar systems!!!
this is there main area of expertise! (I think that is how you spell it! )

 

better quality electronics,longer lasting,better warranties, myron&davis specializes in mobile video&cameras for autos,that does NOT make them the best because in terms of features and picture quality ,a kenwood,alpine,pioneer,or clarion will blow it away.

 

i'm not questioning just asking if that makes any sense.



why are they better though? i know why i would personally pick a premier in dash over a kenwood but as well as an icon screen over something like an audiovox but why is it those exceed above any others?

for instance i'd rather have an icon screen over something like a lanzar simply because they have reverse playback for using cameras beyond the technical aspects. i personally don't have a preference over any of them other then if you can save a dollar i'm all for it. just would like to know why one is better then another.

 

the best comparison is to see these monitors side by side,that would explain where i'm coming from. the icon is a nice piece, i'm saying that there is better equipment,that's all.
