Looking for a new HO Alternator

I'm in the market for a new alternator for my 92RS 305TBI A4. I was wanting something with some serious output to run my audio system. What are you guys running?

Get a B4C alt bracket and run a 140 amp Caprice police alt.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I made a few calls around and found a couple solutions. The NAPA one sounds like a winner as does the Caprice idea. I'm gonna look into both of those. Cheers for the help bros.

Look on summitonline.com for their iceburg conversion. Had mone for over a year with about 1000 watt system and an ooptima yellow top and had no problems at all.

Consider going to a one wire alternator if yours isn't already. That seems to eliminate the low reading on the gauge and the replacing of the alternator and battery every two years. I alos went to a 6 gauge cable from the alternator to the battery when I went to a 140 amp alternator.... After going to the one wire alternator I found out I no longer needed a 140 amp alternator. Of course now I'm going to be installing an 850 watt amp so we'll see if I have to move back up........
