Are you looking for an adaptor to mount a DIN deck and a .5DIN EQ in the stock 1.5DIN location? I've seen those around.

The kit you want is made by Metra www.metraonline.com
METRA 99-4544 GM MULTI-KIT 1982-UP w/EQ OPTION - GM Premium Multi-Kit with Equalizer Option and Mounting Brackets 1982-Up.
www.partsexpress.com sells it. So does Circuit City.

If you don't mind doing so, you could probably cut a slot in the side of your console towards the drivers side, or maybe remove the console pan, and make a sheet metal bracket for it, either of those would work, or hide it under your seat.

i didn't want to do any cutting, i want to leave the interior as clean as possible, if anything i was thinking of doing a fiberglass panel to mout it in and have that be the pod face plate thing also, but i rather try and gett the kit first before i hack it up, my interior is mint, as if it came from the factory. i have spent alot of time putting it back together and making it 100% complete down to the right screws
. My car is just in mint condition and i dont want to have a hack job in my car. I do think that i can do very nice work as my kickpanels, and various sub boxes i have made for myself and others have come out amazing, but i just want to get teh right part for this job.
thank you justins86bird, i will be goign to circut city again sometime soon and asking them again, maybe i will go to a different one. since they didn't seem to know what i was talking about the first time which i think is complete

Not to mention, just fitting a normal aftermarket deck and all the wireing in the pod is a fun task. Adding an EQ with the RCA connections and extra wire will make the task even more fun.
Most newer decks have buit in EQ's. Some of them boast 10 band or better EQ's which usually are of a higher quality than any older 1/2 DIN EQ.
If you really want to have a seperate EQ, all the power to you. But you will probably just want to make your own mounting assembly to get it right.

Theres a pre-amp with bass boost, and sound analzyer, and both have a signal to noise ratio of 110 dbs. I picked them up for about 25$ when radio shack stopped carrying car audio components. And unlike what you said they stopped carrying them for being cheap, its because they didn't sell enough, and thats why they no longer carry them, aside from the name, there quite good quality, and I have had no problems. I like it, and my stereo still sounds great, I have a sanyo equalizer too, with 1.5" dins, and I bet you think thats junk too. I don't care what anyone thinks about it, think its cheap if you want, my stereo sound great, and I get compliments on it all the time. And come on, you don't see me telling you that your stuff sucks, or its cheap, who cares?

they do sell a kit like you're looking for. i believe metra makes it and i think i bought mine (had it in my car at one time) from www.sounddomain.com. fitting everything in there was a chore, but i managed somehow. too bad the eq (clarion eqs750) got messed up when the deck got stolen.
and yes, radioshack stopped car audio cause they werent selling because its cheap. i had one of their crossovers and it added noise (and lots of it) to my system. it also happens to be the same model you're refering to as a preamp or sound analyser (the big one in your pic). sanyo is a no no for most home products, not even going to start on their car equipment.

stiers, thats a very good point. I'm sorry to hear that others haven't had as good of luck as I have with my radio shack 4-way crossover and bass booster, I have no noise at max volume, maybe that has to do with how I installed my stuff. Both radio shack products have gold plating, and high quality components inside. I like the 4-way cross over because you can custom tailor the frequency to 4-different amps, example, subs, midbass driver, midrange, and tweeter, and the subs have a remote control, which I have mounted under my sanyo eq, so with my radio I have 13 bands to adjust plus the normal treble and bass, and loudness controls. I can really tailor the frequency roll-off with what I have. And my sanyo eq, sounds great, I like how they make really great stuff, the eq I'm using is from the mid 80's but works awesome, and its 1.5" dins. I guess some have good luck with things and others don't, but I'm the type of person to look into a product way before I consider purchasing it.
