looking for opinions on subwoofers

hey guys,
first off i know every one has opinions and such, id like to know them

heres the deal, im putting a sub in my buddies truck and id like to know about the best sub for what im doing, which is...
two 8"s or one 10"
sealed
about 1 to 1.5 cubic feet space
needs extremly fast speaker needed(he likes the metal with loads of drum beats)

so far im thinking a decent jl sub or two jl 8's and a really nice clear, clean amp. where should i look? what other subs/amps should i look in to, any sugestions and opinions are what im asking for thanks.

JL makes good stuff.

Eclipse, RE, DD, Kicker

I have an Eclipse Amp, and never had it go into protection with HOURS of playing, but they can be more expensive, depending how much power you want.
Amp: JL, Kicker, Alpine, and JBL makes good amps for the money.

Get a good deal on JBL amps at: www.ikesound.com

although JL does make good stuff there are sooo many quality products out there that are at par with them that nobody else has.

if you want two 8s that hit amazingly hard i would look at RE8s.http://www.respl.com put em in a 1.0 cf box tuned to 35hz with a shared 300 watts and you'll be very impressed.

those REs look quite nice. How much are they per sub in both 8 or 10 inch?

Im thinking about a system for my daily driver......and those may be good depending on price.

and how much for one of their amps say 300 watts for the 8s?

Better hurry. Ti and Tantrum lines are being discontinued. Being replaced by the Xenon line.

Hey I suggested that site first!!!

Price depends on whether you have an RE dealer in your area or not. Send an email out to RE, they usually get back to you w/i 3ish days. Make sure you include your zip. They will let you know if there's a dealer close-by or what the price is to have them shipped to your door. RE makes excellent stuff!! I'm going with 2 12" RE SE's for my next set-up!!

i dont think they post prices on their site but if you call them they have the best customer service ive ever dealt with. The 8s are very cheap, im not sure if the RE10s are released yet though
