Probably the same reason as me.. we probably prefer the way the factory ones look.. I used to have a aftermarket Clarion deck. didn't like the way it fit.. looked crappy..

Thats a newer version.. ya try it out.. you never know.. only the older ones like 89, 90, 91, 92, etc do not play finalized CD's
which sucks.. since the cd player I have for the home was made in 1986 and it playes the recorded CD's.. Just for your information "86Z" that deck was never available in a thirdgen.. didn't exist.. but I do agree that is one of the nicer delco units.. I opted for for the style that was available for mine.. but I picked out one from a 1994 olds. I'm hoping it'll play recorded CD's .. but if not.. oh well.. no biggie..

yes i know it's not the original camaro one, but it will look nice, the factory cassette looks cool in there, i had a system in there but now it's not my daily driver so if i could listen to a cdr and be stock that would be great, i'll give it a try when i recieve it and let you know, otherwise i'm getting a nomad zen xtra with cassette adapter

The deck was the first thing I replaced, cause I did not really care about the looks compared to the quality. I mean what could you think "I have to keep a stock cd player or else it wont match up." Thats a kinda dumb statement "I really like the stock look", Well I like the stock look too, but i'm not willing to sacrifice quality to the look of cd player

i have an old cd player made in 87. It depends on what type of cd you use. It will play if i use more expensive cds with silver backing and some gold ones, but any other cheap cds dont work. You may have to expirement a bit.

Thats interesting.. I'll have to try that.. I also heard if you leave like 3 seconds between tracks, instead of the default 2.. it helsp also.
