Capacitor wiring

I bought a used capacitor off ebay and it did not come with any wiring instructions. Can anyone give me some directions, diagrams, and/or tips for wiring it up?

Basically all mine told me to do when i got it, was to cut the batt to amp wire and put the positive terminal of the cap on that wire. Then it had a seperate ground for itself.

My capacitor has a digital readout on it and I tried the wiring you just described but then the readout was on constantly, is that what I want?

Does your cap have a turn on wire or connection screw?

Yep, run a seperate wire from the cap to ground dist block or frame (make sure all grounds are connected to the frame at 1 spot)

Run cap display turn on wire to remote or amp) turn on from deck.

You'll want as short a wire as posible between the amp and cap.

In my opinion, you should take all that digital stuff off, and just use the basice capaciter, my experience has been that they are just a PITA
