should i get another amp?
not looking for a booming system just one that sounds great at mid to high volume with no distortion.
right now i have a
sony headunit single cd + changer
infinity kappa 4x6 in dash
infinity kappa 6x9 three ways sail panels
infinity kappa 60.5 componits in kick panels
kicker kx800.4 100w rms x 4
should i wire the componits and the 4x6's in parallel?
or should i just get another amp to run the 4x6's
i have some other smaller amps laying around but they are smaller in the 20 -30 watt range thinking they would be a poor match for the kickers power.so should i just bite the bullet and pick up a 100x2 kicker?
thanks
pete
ps i'm trying to fit everything in the spare tire well so size is inportent as the 800.4 is a large amp and there is little room left.

Forget the 4X6s and just run the components up front. DON’T run them in parallel with the 4X6s. I would spend some money on a good HU first. Toss the 4X6s and the Sony HU, and get a good HU with the money you where going to drop on an amp.

I’m not saying HU and amp, unless you want. Even the NON-Xplode Sonys of 5-6 year ago weren’t the greatest, not even close. A good HU will sound better, just that simple. In your first post you said you wanted something that sounded great, you’re probably not going to get that from a Sony HU. So my advice is to spend your money on a good HU, ditch the 4X6s and run just the kappa 60.5 up front, and do the amp down the road if you want.
What is the Model# of the Sony HU?

sony model cdx-c5750
here are some details
This is Sony's top-of-the-line entry in the CD/receiver/changer market. The built-in tuner's features include SSIR-EX for better sensitivity, selectivity, capture ratio, and stereo separation specifications. This translates into high performance, exceptional pick-up, and the ability to arrange radio stations according to their signal strength. The CD player uses Active Servo Control technology, developed by Sony, to monitor and adjust tracking and focus functions. An enormous round **** controls the volume (just like the good old days) and preamp functions. Other features include a CD or MiniDisc changer controller, 4 volt preout, shuffle play, repeat, CD text, and a custom file package that includes Disc Memo, Station Memo, and Memo List. This is an exceptional piece of equipment that has supurb technology, sound, and features. And it is priced to sell.
this is what i found on a search
i have no problem ditching this unit if i'll notice the difference otherwise it seems to work ok but i must admit i've never run the kick panels or the amp yet(at least not the 800.4 kicker) right now i'm running a smaller sony amp for the rears 30rms and the 4x6's on the head unit
thanks in advance for the advice

alpine makes great head units. ebay would be your cheapest bet on any head unit. www.ikeosund.com or www.thezeb.com they all have great price and www.sounddomain.com will match and beat any advertised price and some of their stuff has free shipping. pioneer is a really good brand too.

This is the reason I dont visit this part of the board.
You really dont need a killer expensive head unit or high end components to make a good sounding system for a daily driver.
Your current head unit should be fine as long as it clearly receives all you favorite radio stations and plays cd's without skipping an abnormal amount. A good personal system like you want will be fine with your current setup you just need a good AMP or AMPs that have enough outputs to run all your speakers. Thats the only thing you need to have a good sounding system, dont even run any speakers off the head unit directly and you will have exactly what you want.
