Speaker question
Hey..i just installed my new pioneer headunit and it makes the existing speakers in my car (jensen 6x9s and stock in dash speakers) sound tons better then they did, but not as good as i would like. I dont want and kind of big fancy system, just something that sounds good to replace the in dash speakers and the jenesen 6x9s out back. any suggetions as in brands/models?
thanks alot

well....this question posted on these forums will probably get you more confused than you are now. Everyone here has their own brand they will suggest until they turn blue in the face. Personally, I like Pioneer, Eclipse, Boston Acoustics, Infinity, and the list goes on.....
I reccomend you go to a few sound shops in your area, and bring your favorite CD with you. Pop the CD in and jam out on every speaker they have in your price range, from there, pick what you want.
Thats the best advice I think you will get.

Absolutely.
It is what sounds good to YOU.
You'll doubtless find after listening to a good number of speakers that sound quality isn't always related to price. Some rather expensive and fashionable speakers are sometimes outperformed sonically by comparitively cheap ones.

I like Blaupunkt stereos, their speakers are pretty good too.
I have owned two Blaupunkt head units and they definately rock with the right speakers.

Another friend of mine had a Mazda 323. He has Blaupunkt 6x9's. He picked them up for about 20$ on a Canadian Tire mega sale thingy. Damaged packaging.
Those things just hammered. They refused to die. Sounded good too.
