Can you turn a DVC sub into an SVC?

wire the two coils in parallel. Voila. One coil with 1/2 the resistance of each of the two.
also you should check the spec's on your sub as well as the amp your running it with . I ran in to problems doing this set up , my amp wasn't 2ohm stable while it worked underload the amp would shut down and reboot ect......

if it's dual 4-ohm coils, you can't get a single 4 ohm load out of it. You get 2 ohms or 8 ohms.
