amp question

I have picked out these subs im only haveing second thoughts about the amp now. I was gonna this one but i heard so many people talk about Memphis and now im considering this one . The SPL says it puts out 1600 and 370x2 rms, people say its over rated and it probably is but at that price you cant really say anything but the memphis only puts out 240x2 rms and its alot smaller then the SPL which one shall i get?

You might find it's easier to just run both subs on a mono amp. That way you could get a 1 ohm final for the subs total. Check out this link it shows the wiring pics and final ohms. http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/wiring/index.html

That might be an even cheaper way. Cause you should beable to get a nice amp that puts off over 1000 watts at 1 ohm for $250 easy on ebay.

Yes something like that. I like the JBL bp line amps also. I have 2 of the bp1200.1s and they seem to be very good for the money. You might look up and do some research on a bp 600.1 they got replaced this year by a model redesign so it might be easy to find some good used ones for fairly cheap.

Also I forgot to mention if the box is going to be ported you might want to do research on sub sonic filters (protects the sub from hitting freqs that could hurt it in a ported box). If you're going sealed then there should be no problem.
