what do you mean by "more" sound? Playing 2 songs at once? Or do you mean you want it louder? Maybe you meant you want better sound quality?

Since you didn't mention subs, I would think that adding a sub and an amp would be the logical next step. That'll relieve your head unit's amps (and the speakers it's powering) from having to play all that bass, and will allow that power to be used just for higher frequencies. That, combined with a nice amp for the bass, will allow your whole stereo to get much, much louder, and also sound much better.

If you want better imaging up front, then kick panels can be a good idea.

Sony car audio sucks. Their subs suck, their speakers suck, their amps suck, and their head units suck. If you think those subs sound good for the money, then I doubt you've listened to enough other stuff as a comparison. The problem is that there really isn't *anything* worth listening to at that price range. Instead of 2 sony subs, I'd suggest buying 1 good sub.

I'm not a fan of pioneer speakers either. Most japenese electronics companies don't have speakers that sound as good as companies who specialize in speakers.

What's your budget?

There's nothing loud about 4x6s. If you want loud, you need a sub and an amp to power it.

For $200 you might be able to pick up a used JBL amp and maybe a used Shiva sub or something similar.

Well seeing how no one answered your question. Here is a site that might cut it.

http://www.audio-n-more.com/Qlogic/kick_panels.shtml

No clue how reputable this company is but they have them quoted at 123.00 a pair. I would consider that a rough guestimate however building your own might be cheaper and you could build them to match whatever setup you want.

Here is a site where a guy made some for his truck. I am using the same concept except I am using particleboard to make the backing.
