i bought my kit through sounddomain.com. they have a custom kit for 3rd gens. i did have to trim a bit of the center console vent ducts to get my deck to fit, but the looks make it worth it. paid less than $20 shipped for the kit, probably closer to $10-15. nice kit.

You let CC install a HU?
they didn't break any trim plastic? (incompetent monkeys)
you should get a new mounting kit, not to make it look better, but to re-wire that rats nest of bare copper and butt splices that those '12 volt trainees' left behind there. Good luck!
Be sure to show us a picture of CCs horrid install.

i had to buy the wire harness, and also the adaptor, which came out to $20. The kit can be adjusted 1/2 an inch outwards if needed.

The problem with 3rd gens is that the HUs are all too deep for the available space. Thus you end up needing a kit that will move the HU forward. Sometimes we don't like the looks of it but what else can you do?

i install car stereos (not gonna say where) and the kit we use for our cars has three different faceplates you can use, one that sticks out 1", one sticks out 1/2", and a flush mount kit. All the faceplates are included with the kit. I used the flush mount kit on mine.
i have since put in a pioneer 7600, but heres a pic of my old jvc that shows the flush mount dash kit.....oh and the pontiac emblem is long gone dont laugh to hard.....:lala: :lala:
