According to what I've read, the Arc uses higher quality components. The board is the same, and the overall design is similar because the clarion amps and arc amps are both designed by the same people.

that was a really hot debate for a while on elite car audio and carsound. the arc guys hate to face the truth, so they come up with excuses. the clarion guys love that they have a very good amp for cheap.

Amen to that. The power supply in those amps are amazing. I've seen them melt the collector off of a shorted output and keep on going like it was nothing, VARY robust. Nothing makes your day like fixing a power supply problem only to find the output stage problem that killed the supply in the first place, but wait, you just fried the supply again, fun fun fun.....
