No Stock Wiring Harness?

Well I was gonna install my cd player today but it seems that the stock wiring harness was cut out & a different 11 pin wiring harness in there which hooked up to the kenwood cassette player that was in there.Any suggestions?

Or just cut the wires on the HU side about half way and splice into the new HU wiring since they are most likely the same universal colors.

If it's not broke, don't fix it....

Sounds like some electronics guy took a leftover generic harness and used that to correct a missing harness.

you have the male and female sides with wires intact, the HU you have now works, why mess with it?

Unless you are intent on getting you car 'original GM' .....how many people here actually care about that?

Just use the chart above to double check the work, chances are you won't even need all of those connections.

The kenwood is a cassette player and I want to install my Pioneer cd player...Unless theres a way I can take the adapter off the back of the kenwood & wire it on to the GM01 end of the wiring harness

yeah, I actually think wiring up the factory wiring harness would be easier now cuz theyre all color coded with the wires that are already in there and everything. Thanks for the help guys
