Ya, there should be plenty of airspace, Ive never heard of any in a thirdgen, but a work friend this summer has 1 12" in his maxima and it hit real nice with his MB Quarts

In my opinion that's way too much, i have two 12 w3's and a jl 500/1 amp and those things hit so hard. I can't listen to music past 20 on my alpine deck without the bass at -7, sub @ 0 and treb @ +7. I have all type -s speakers with an amp, running to them, and still can't hear em over the bass. It's awesome though knowing that you probably have the best subs out there. I know a bunch of guys with subs and i out-sub them all. All but my friends 13.5 w7 in his 68 chevelle. but not much. camaros are so good for bass that i think w-6 are a bit much. But, if you want to sneaze constantly from the bass, GO FOR IT!

I promise, 2 jl w3 12's and 1 500/1 jl amp will more than satify anyone. At least look into it. I got mine and would only go lower. W6/7/8(did you know they have a W8 now!), are oo much for our cars. that's just my 2 cents

I have a pair of w6v2s in my 91 with 1000 watts on them. They sound real good and are real loud. You cant think on some songs its so loud. Alota people say that its too loud.
They are alot bigger and deeper than a regular w6, u might have to modify your box. My box they were hitting both the flat parts in the well, had to bring them up 3 inches up. And they just barely fit.

It's supposed to come out in 2006 to go against the Kicker comps. Jl was upset that Kicker wins comps with Subs that have coils that only last 45 minutes and arent for street use while JL uses the w7 that works forever... So in comes the W8. This is according to a guy i know that lives stereo competition. I think it's on the JL website though?

I stand corrected, they are not yet on the website, but i do believe unless there is some massive explosion at jl, they will be out in 06
