most likely the fronts in the dash are 4x6's and the rears are 6x9's. but make sure of the mounting depth on the 4x6's cause they cant go too far down.

In another thread in this section, a fellow member said that you can fit 5.25 inch speakers in the dash locations in place of the 4x6s. He says they sound much better, and they fit with either very little or no modifications.

What the heck makes a 4x6 such a bad speaker, anyway? Why does a 5.25, which certainly isn't huge, sound so much better?

4x6s are oval speakers, which means their stress distribution is quite different compared to round speakers, which have a much more even stress distribution. What that means is the 4x6s will either produce more distortion because of abnormal flexing of the woofer, or the woofer will be extremely stiff and limit upper range sound--something that is essential for a 4x6s because of their small size.
Also, finding a 4x6 that will rival the sound quality of a similarly-priced round speaker will be pretty hard. If you know of some people that are into the car audio scene, they might be able to hook you up, but for most of us it's either the internet or local audio shops.

No problem man. On a side note, sound is a very subjective topic that can vary from person to person so just because one speaker looks better than another based on the spec sheet, doesn't mean it's actually going to sound better to your ears. It's important to audition any speaker you are considering purchasing, especially since no one can tell you what will sound good to your ears.
