New Box setup
At first, I just threw this together so I had a box to use, didn't really care if it sounded awesome, just music. well, after I installed the box, It sounds amazing. With the deep sump in the back of the camaro, and the back of the box open, this thing hits hard with a 600 watt amp.
600 watt amp and 2 10'' Audiobahn subs (dont be hatin' the audiobahns now..)
yes i am going to recover it, the green stuff is fiberglass if your wondering.

When I made the box, i didnt brad nail a back piece into it. The hump in the car acts as the back of the box.

Whats wrong with an open box? I mean it sounds awesome to me. When I had a sealed box before, all it would do it make a lot of low booming, which most guys like from subs, but I like the crisp sound it makes.

Axle/Gears: huh?? guessing stock.
ok. Im not trying to flame you, but open sounds crisp? Come on I eally dont think so. tanke your box and spend some time listening to it. now seal it up with a back and listen. I guarantee that sealed will sound crisper. I run a sealed box at .8 cu for my type R nd it sounds GREAT. just try it. what you made was an infinnate baffle type "plate" you have all sorts of air leaks in the back as I once again guarantee you cant seal it to the hump or well or whatever...
Any way, good luck, and remember no matter what WE say on the board, YOU are the one listening to it so it comes down to what YOU like. Not what we say you should like.

thanks for the insight guys. Like I said i just made this kinda temporary so I have some music. I'm working on a fiberglass box. Which imo, sounds much better than a fiber board type box.
Just curious, can you run subs without an amp and it actually sound ok, i know it wont be loud or sound that good, just curious. I sold my old 600watt amp and getting ready to buy a new amp.
Any amps your guys would recomend for under 150?
