Seen somewhere, that a guy had swaped his HVAC control and his radio, was wondering if anyone has seen this or has pics of it, also how does the bezel work when you do that.....i much rather have my radio on the top, would be even better if i got one with screen (main reason for not getting one with screen was blocking HVAC )

 

It's fairly common to do, you have to make the bezel (bit of plastic, some glue, and some bondo and it looks pretty good)

I've seen this topic brought up before, but I don't think anyone ever posted any pics.

 

lol yes i know, this has been a want for a long time, a pic can give you ideas on how easy or hard it is to do

 

you would have to cut the lower dash support braket and plastic vent area.... then it might work, but once you cut that bracket you are going to start seeing cracks in your dash when you start driving....

 

all most a year and no pic yet, i guess its not ment to be

 

if im thinking of wut your talking about cant u just take the radio trim and turn it upside down and have your radio on top and your air controls on bottom?

 

If I'm reading what you're typing, you're suggesting that one should take the radio/HVAC trim, rotate it 180 degrees, and reapply to the dash? Yes, that would transpose the positions of the HVAC and Radio, however, you'd have an inverted radio and upsidedown HVAC controls. I've considered this mod on my 91RS, I just haven't decided exactly what I want to do yet, and thus, haven't torn into anything to see what would be involved. I'd like to see some pictures, too, if anyone has 'em...
