Re: subwoofer box

Does that box fit inside the rear recess or sit on top of the deck?

Re: subwoofer box

It fits inside the "trunk" area. Just slide it in.

TIP...Might want to put two handles on the top if you buy it so you can lift it out with ease when needed

Re: subwoofer box

Firsthand experience. The one I just removed in favor of a custom fiberglass and MDF box weighed nearly 100 lbs and was wedged in. I had to stick my arm down its port to remove it.

Re: subwoofer box

me and a buddie built a custom box to fit two 12 fits oerfectly inside my truck i also placed a soild 1/2 inch cherry wood top my dad had laying around it was just long and wide enough to fill the whole back area. I stained it and made the top half a amp rack and it looked great but after 2500 watts per speaker i craked the side pannel out but after replaceing i weighed them empty at 275 pounds and loaded at almost 400 so its a hugh boat anchour but sounds great

handles are a bad idea! it is not only good for you, but also for that nice stranger who decides to borrow your set up!

Re: subwoofer box

I just got this box in today. My car is being delivered Friday and I will spend the weekend jamming up the stereo. I am very impressed with the box from hifisoundconnections. It looks nice.

Hmmm... over $100 for a box where you have no input on how it works... Or check out the sticky and buy a piece of MDF from Lowes for $22 and design it yourself based on the specs in the sticky... Up to you

Re: subwoofer box

I've had a few different combinations in my car as you can see in the pics and my favorite by far is this one:

It is just the right amount of bass and is easily removed, and everything in the back is still accessible. Also is very well hidden with the cover closed.

I'm also giving away the dual sub box with subs in it if anyone local wants it.
