Recommended Amp and woofers?
Any amp and woofer combo do you guys recommend? I want to go with Oz Audio, but I am open to suggestions.

Re: Recommended Amp and woofers?
OZ is nice stuff. But the question is vague.
There are a million differnet brands, not to mention most enthusiest like a combination.
I have Boston Pro 6.43x 3-way componets off of a Xtant A4004 and a RF HE2-12-D2 run off of a Orion HCCA225. The Orion and Bostons are old equipment still in great service. But as you can see there is a wide range. The RF sub is the older black cone HE2. In the biz I come across stuff I like and I seek it out for my personal use. Most are amazed at the quality of sound, yet I just didnt go to the local retailer and pick out new stuff.
Your selection should start by budget and goal.
Figure out if your budget meets your goal or maybe you could find a great deal on a used peice. Like I did with the Xtant amp.
Of course you didnt say weather this was subs and amp or highs you are looking for. So that info would help.
I could give you a professional assesment on a particular product if you rely with a specific.
Some brands like Pioneer make excelent source units, but their mewer amps and subs arent really desirable.
Some brands just have a knack for a certain area.
Hope this helps and look 4ward to seeing more info

Re: Recommended Amp and woofers?
I never really decided on a budget... I am looking for 2 10 inch Oz audio subs. They are not the top of the line, but they are 2nd best. The amplifiers carried by Oz have a hefty pricetag however so I may venture to Pioneer for my amp.
here is a link to the subs and amp I am looking at. Nothing to spectacular at the moment, just getting my feet wet.

IMO that stuff is crap. For a mid-line setup I like JL or Alpine.
Hell one 8" JL w7 would be better than those. JL amps are nice but the new Digital Alpine amps are the best on the market today. At the shop on display 2 of them run 24/7 and never even get luke warm. We mount them behind panels in cars with no problem. However the amps are $500+ and the subs are $400+.

Re: Recommended Amp and woofers?
2 Apline 12" Type R subs, An Alpine deck, and to power them a Lanzar Opti500X2500 Watts x 2 RMS Power into 4 Ohms
1000 Watts x 2 Max Power into 4 Ohms
2000 Watts x 1 Max Power at 4 Ohms Bridged
750 x 2 Watts RMS Power into 2 Ohms
all together i think i payed around $600 imo not bad. when shopping for amps limit your search to made in the USA amps.

Thats more like it, I just don't feel the need for a crazy loud system at the moment, I want it to bang, but it doesn't have to be top of the line.
