i can email you a wiring diagram of the connecter its self off the original connecter off the factory radio and u can go to the panasonic site and it will give you an online manual of the headunit and if your connections are right you might have just blown a fuse in the back of the headunit or an acc fuse

i checked all the fuses in the fuse box and they all seem to be fine but i replaced them with new ones anyway... the wiring diagram might be a help but i think that its color to color as far as the wires go

Re: head unit power?

You might find an authorized repair center for panasonic, just depends on how much its going to cost to repair vs buying a new one. I had an Alpine head unit that I screwed up but it was only 100 bucks to fix it so I thought it was worth it.

Also try a jumper wire to power it up when all your other stuff is hooked up and see if that does anything?

well its only color to color if u have the adapter if u try doing color for color with the original connecter that might be why it isnt workin and then again it might just be dead, there is also another fuse inside the unit that might be blown

Re: head unit power?

Make sure you hook up the 12v, ACC, and Ground right. with those 3 wires hooked up, it should be working. You can test the 12v and ACC lines to see if they have juice.

Re: head unit power?

Head unit power wire should be 16 to 18ga. Do you have a meter? You could check for a hot wire in the dash and use that for testing it.

You can do it man Like the post above said, get a meter, test the lines, to see what speaker is which you can take a double A battery, connect the speakers wires to this battery and you should hear static.

Re: head unit power?

Yellow = 12v constant (for clock and memory)
Red = 12v Ignition (for when the key is on, radio works, functions)
Black = Ground (common)

Most head-units now require an antenna to be plugged in to turn on. Try this.

GM vehicles have all those factory.

Gray is Illumination, Orange is the Dimmer for headlights, aftermarket units most of the time do not use these, they are only needed for factory radios really, so if it doesn't call for it, ignore those wires.

the Yellow, Red, Black, and Antenna should all be hooked up before it will turn on.

The blue wire is either Power Antenna or Amplifier Remote, the blue/white striped wire could also be either of those, I do not remember.

I'm not sure if you know or not, but make SURE the remote is hooked up to the remote on the amplifier, and not the +12v, the +12v is for the large wire coming from the battery, sorry I used to work in a car stereo shop, so I have to ask/tell you this.
