I took the faceplate off mine (a newer Delco unit) and colored the back side red so the buttons would show red at night. You looking for something like this?

the new 08 JVC head unit has red lights close to the stock ones. I have one installed, ill get the make and part # for you.

I have one that's almost perfect. It's an Aiwa. The color is actually called amber.

Certain Pioneer models have a feature where you can select the backlight colour from it's menu.

This is the menu selectable "Amber". I can make a totally custom color to dial in whatever color I want though.

My Alpine 1.5DIN D857 has an amber setting that perfectly matches the rest of the interior ambiance. Wish i had a pic of it. Best looking deck ive ever seen i Firebird handsdown.

I haven't gotten a chance to drive it with this baby in it yet, but god damn she looks sweet from what I've seen so far. matches PERFECT.

actually its a Sony Xplod CDX-GT330 and then I have a hd tuner under the passenger seat. got it all for $129 shipped off of crutchfield. it sound awesome too.
