is there a hole already in the firewall I can run my amp power cable, or does one need to be drilled?

I think the one I use on mine is factory.
its behind and under the brake booster.
Better hope you have small hands or something you can snake down there because its HELL if you have big hands like I do.

Re: queston

The antenna cord down by the kicker panel on the pass side is easy enough to do. That's what i used, and no drilling :P

Re: queston

If you have a auto you could use the spot they have for the slave. But I ran mine through the antenna grommet.

Re: queston

If you are farely new to doing amp installs, one key home made tool is an old antenna off a car. Keep the end that screws onto the car the way it is, and then sharpen the opposite end using a grinder. This makes poking the pole through a grommit in the firewall that much easier. Another thing to remember is to push it through from inside the car into the engine bay. Once you have the pointy end in the engine, shove the point end from your antenna into the power wire, and then wrap it up thoroughly in good electrical tape. Once you have this done, cover the electrical tape area with soap, or some kind of lubricant, this makes the passing of the power wire through the firewall much easier. Then in the car you should have the end of the antenna with a small grip (where it screws onto the car) to grab onto and yank into the car.

This makes amp installs a million times easier. Follow these simple steps and you'll be golden.

Re: queston

If you use the antenna grommet, you can actually pop the trim in the wheel well and route it pretty easily :P.

Yes there is a hole behind the brake booster what i did to get the wire down there is used a metal coat hanger and use electrical tape to tape the wire to coat hanger and then pull the coat hanger through the hole and ur going to want to get a rubber gromet to put around the wire so metal of the firewall doesnt cut through the wire over time
