Will this work?

I know these questions are probably bordering on general knowledge for most of you guys but I'm on my first time around with car audio and im working with a walmart salary, so I dont wanna mess it up.

So I have a 2 channel amp that puts out 125 watts rms at 4 ohms per channel, so the question is if i hook up two 4-ohm subs that each handle 250 watts rms (which is about double what they would actually be getting) would they still work properly?

Yeah they'll work, but at what ohm load are you wanting to run it?

Are they single 4ohm speakers, or dual 4ohm?

If it's single 4ohm, then sure you'd be putting the amp under a 4ohm load, seeing (virtually) the rated 125watts.

ya they're single 4ohm, what I was wanting to figure out was if the rating meant 4ohms per channel or 2ohms per times 2 to make 4,

but at any rate i got em wired up and they hit fine so thanks guys case closed
