just because you're running a sub doesn't mean you have to amp the speakers; just use the amp for the sub and leave the stock speakers on the deck power until you upgrade them. or if you must, you can turn the gain down on the speaker channels to limit how much power is going to them

Yes, your subs should be run off their own amp, that will have nothing to do with the stock speakers.

a sub will completely overshadow any mid-high ability. when you finish listen to classical music and listen for clarity it should feel like the soundstage is in front of you and it should be very clear not bassy and muffled. if it is you should get better front 4x6 speaker but leave the rears stock so that they dont steel the soundstage from the front

as stated above your sub amp wont affect your speakers, you will be over done with bass though, im guessing you went with w1's or w0's, even with them your bass will be higher than the factory speakers, personally i wasnt satisfied with my audio until i put polk speakers in all around and then amplified them, my type r was way too much bass, it creates a much better balance when your speakers can put out a better and higher range of sound to compliment the new bass
the biggest downside to stock speakers un amplified with subs is that you can only turn it up so much before your subs get to be too much, i couldnt turn mine up on certain songs because the bass was way too much and the stock speakers couldnt even compete

i agree with just about everybody here.. I have not rly been able to "BLAST" my subs cuz i cant even hear my speakers after a certain point and that gets to be annoying. I'm gonna have to go out n get a decent set of pioneer speakers or somethin
