cant stop fuel frm leaking where line connects to tbi

So we accidently unscrewed the fuel fitting where it connects to the tbi, we have the male ended taped, we have the little "o" ring in, but it keeps leaking? This is a 92 rs, v8 5.0 litre. Any ideas? Any silicone or some type of "putty"?

Omg I am sorry abt putting it under audio

not sure what this has to do with car audio , but if you are talking about the fittings that are on the fuel pressure regulator the adapter has a plastic seal sealing it up to the pressure regulator on the throttlebody. The o-rings may be leaking on the end of the supply or the return lines.

gm 22514722 fuel feed
gm 22516256 fuel return or dorman 800-013

5/16 and 3/8 viton 0-rings

Thnx tunedperformanc, I am not sure abt the connection being to the regulator? I had trbl finding anything abt it in my haynes, but let me try again. Its where the fuel line connects to the tbi on the outside back and has a fitting that looks like an extension nut - let see if I can take a pic

I don't think the saganaw inlet fitting gasket is sold separately. You might need to go to the dealership to find out for sure or snag one from the junkyard. The rochesther model 220 tbi was used in many applications and are easy yo find in any junk yard.

silicone does not seal fuel

thats the worst thing you can use/try

really easy fix

you just need a stock o-ring from one of these fittings, factory one

pull the fitting and ring from another tb unit, these tb units are dirt common i just scrapped a whole crap ton of them a couple months ago, to the shredder
