Factory CD clicks. Plan B

I got a factory style CD player for my 92 Z28. The radio part works 10 times better than the old cassette but when you put in a disc it just clicks. No biggie. Was thinking of researching a adapter so I can have the factory head unit but have a plug so I can use my iphone to play music. Seems like a better idea than a bunch of CD's sliding around. Anyone have any experience with such adapter?

there are adapters out there for vehicles that had cd changer options, unfortunately our vehicles predate that time a bit (at least as a factory option). you could go with a wired fm modulator though; plugs in between the antenna and the radio. while not quite the same quality as a direct/aux in, much better than the cheap wireless ones.

if you're handy with electronics you can make your own.

I'm not good with electronics like that. I found a solution in a device called redirad. It wires in and goes in line with the antenna. I talked to a friend of mine that has one and it is clear. I remember asking him what he had and he reminded me.
