best 6x9 speakers? (back seat ones)
Ok I REALLY REALLY need new back seat speakers! So I want to get the best ones (that are reasonable). I have been looking at the 3 way Infinity Kappa 6x9s. I need someone's expert advice here.
If you dont think the Infinitys are the ones I should get then PLEASE give me your idea. THANKS!

I've had 6x9 Kappas, but when I put in my new amp, I got a set of Boston RX series 6x9s that retail for $200. I liked the Kappas a lot, but take a look at these too before you decide.
Oh and by the way, don't buy them from Crutchfield, unless you've listened to the Kappas somewhere else first. If you can find a place that sells both Infinity and Boston, in my opinion you have the 2 best 6x9 makers right there. I noticed the Bostons seem to have slightly better highs, and the Kappas had a little better bass response. It all depends on what you're looking for...but I'd go with either 1 of these.

Well sense you said that the Kappas had better bass and the Bostons had better highs I think Im gonna get the Kappas. Cause bass is exactly what Im looking for. Cause I dont really plan on subs for a couple months if not next summer. But yea I have heard the Kappas in someones Eclipse but I believe that his Kappas were the 2 ways. So the ones I am getting should be better.
Thanks man! You made up my mind for me!

Personally, i like the Pionner 4 way 6x9s. But asking wont really help you. Every one is different. Just visit a few shops in town and listen and see which you like best. Expect to pay $100 or more for a good set. I had Kappas awhile back. I was not all that impressed with them.

The 5 1/4s might sound good if you have subs, but they won't be able to supply nearly as much bass as the 6x9s, especially off the factory head unit. 6 1/2" separates would work well, but they can get pricey for good ones. 6x9s are a good upgrade for the money and they're real simple to install.

Hey Monkie, glad I could help! I had the 2 way Kappas, so the 3 ways should help with the highs. After 2 years of solid bass and good highs, I decided it was time to try something different. The Boston's are awesome, but if you want something that'll reach a little deeper, the Kappas are hard to beat.

I've got the 3-way kappas in my camaro and I think they're AWESOME, though expect to but some dynomat, because you get a lot of rattling around that area. Awesome highs, and impressive base.
