speaker and box volume...

say i have a speaker, and the recomendation is for a sealed enclosure with .88 cubic feet. if i were to put it into a sealed enclosure with .85 cubic feet would that be a terrible nono or would the .03 cubic feet be not to big a deal??? thanks in advance.

Sealed boxes are more forgiving to differences in volume. A +/- 10% variation is usually hardly noticable. Making the box slightly smaller isn't going to make much difference. Just pack it with about 3/4 to 1lb of polyfill.

Axle/Gears: 9-bolt, 3.27
Gee, .88? Sounds like Solobaric 12 spec! I'm about to build a box for one, and it is going to be a bit over (small bit). Also, make sure that you are using internal volume of the box. I used to get this messed up and use the outside volume. In a small box, that can make a big difference!
