Delco Bose Low Volume and distortion

Hey guys do you know if there is a separate fuse for the amp or amps in my Delco Bose factory sound system? The radio starts up and there is some sound going to all speakers but it's at a low and very distorted level. I've adjusted the fader adjustment and still low and distorted. This occurs with am, fm or cassette adapter plugged into my iPhone. I have an 89 Iroc with the factory speakers in the luggage area locking cover. The car is new to me and the seller says it's worked fine over the years. I searched the forum but found mostly questions about aftermarket Amps and subs. Thanks in advance

Bad caps in the built in amps in the speakers. These can be repaired.

I see this is an old post but I have a very similar situation with my IROC Bose system. Anyone ever figure this out?

These guys will repair them at about 50 bucks each. You have one amp in each speaker. You have to take yours apart and send them your amps. They will repair and send it back. Only issue is I had is one capacitor came a little lose when I got mine back. I just hit it with a some solder and it took care of it. Could of sent it back on their dime I'm sure but didn't bother.

I've got nothing but good things to say about BOSECENTRAL in FL. I've had them repair a few AMPS for me in the past,... even sent one back and it was repaired and returned to me in proper working condition.
