Am I going way overboard w/ my system???????

Well I decided that I am going to do several new things to my system. 1) I need a new CD player since mine is skipping like crazy; I am looking at the Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X915, 2) I am looking to put tweeters in the A-pillar posts and 3) install 2 more RF 12"'s in the back.
Now my girlfriend says that I am smoking crack b/c I want to install 2 more 12"'s. Does sound like it would work out pretty good or am I going way overboard?????

hehe, u want two more 12's, HA! sorry to say buddy, but you are a little crazy. you will be deaf my spring time with 6 12's. not too mention you will need another amp and a deck with at least 3 preouts, assuming you have 3 two channel amps. i think 4 12's is plenty good for a camaro. i like your choice of decks by the way. the kenwood excelon series is a very high end series. congrats!

i say just enjoy the sound u already have, if the subs arent pounding as hard as u want, then upgrade, dont add more.

I feel kinda dumb for posting that earlier b/c I just remembered that both of my amps are set at minimum bass levels and that they are both set at -2 bass settings. I'll just have to tweak the amps a little more, hehehe. Helps when you look into things more, right guys?
Well what would you guys suggest as the best tweeters out there for he A-pillar posts?

Mike, from what I've learned on this board, you wouldn't want the tweeters in the a pillars because they would screw up the imaging too much. Tweeters in the kick panels would be better. Because of the tweeters high frequency , you can "place" them better. Having one right next to your left ear and the other at the other side of the car would be too much of a difference. You could adjust this by angling them, but it would be extremely difficult to adjust them perfectly. The kick panels aren't perfect, but would be easier to adjust.

This is just something that I think that Jim had said before when someone was asking about the setup with tweeters next to the side view mirrors on Civic's...

Again, I really just getting into car audio, and just relaying stuff I've picked up from other posts...
