starter system?

well, ive never had sub in my car before, and im browning ebay just looking around. i put together a sub/amp/box system and i was wondering what you guys think.

NEW PYLE PLA2470 2-CH 1600 WATTS AMP - $145
Pair of AUDIOBAHN 15" Subwoofers 2400 Watts! - $188
82-92 CAMARO/FIREBIRD SUB SUBWOOFER Box 2-15" - $50
STINGER HPM SERIES 0 GAUGE POWER WIRING KIT - $100
StreetWires 4-GAUGE Amp Wiring Kit Blue - $55
misc shipping costs - $100

TOTAL: $638

yeah, i know what you're all thinking. pyle sucks, and so does audiobahn. but this is a starter system. im looking for a cheaper system, but i still want it to look cool to show off. and even though majority of you people say pyle and audiobahn sucks, theres still people here who stands by them, and say they rock.

pretty much i was wondering if this is a good start system. i think i might have gone overboard with 2 15" 1200 watt subs, lol. but i want your opinions

you could get yourself a nice jbl mono subwoofer ampf or the same cost as the pyle amp and it'll be much better sound quality. Persoanlly I haven't had much experience with audiobahns but i'm running two jl w0's and it sounds pretty damn good, i'm sure the 15" audiobahns won't sound much worse but finding a way to fit two of those massive subs back there will be extremely difficult. ESPECIALLY if you plan plan on keeping your t-tops back there. In my opinion if i could start all over i'd buy myself a jbl amp, jl subs, build my own box and get a decent wiring kit and i'm pretty sure it'd come out to the same amount of money if not less.

i second the votes for jl w0's or rockford he's are also a great sub, id try to find last years model, i find the new ones hideous, but check them out.

get a real amp, rockford, jl, MTX, anything besides pyle/audiobahn/volfenhag/jensen/etc.

you will be very very happy in the long run, there is no reason to waste your money on CRAP.

yeah but i mean, rockford amps are hella expensive. im looking for a cheaper starter system with a little bang for the buck and i stil lwanna be able to show it off a bit too. i too wanted a rockford setup at first, but it was just to damn expensive..

edit: i also jsut looked at MTX amps and theyre pretty expensive too.

what you dont understand is that a fosgate 200W amp will pound harder than a volfenhag 100000000W amp.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. you dont get much when you buy a big flashy amp.

you want to show your stuff, get junk, you want it to sound good,
get good subs, and an inexpensive 250/300w quality amp, it will sound awesome.

buy ****, it will sound like it.

the wiring kit should no way cost you 100 bucks. I pieced mine together from local stores for i think $20 bucks max and you should be able to do the same. But yes the major components of that system sound much better than before

Try walmart for the wiring kit, I think a 4 guage or a 2 guage should be good for your use. Seach some threads with my name and there was some good posts about figuring out what guage you need. But the wiring kit should be cheaper than that, around $40 tops.
